The Wallsend Festival is delivered by a Partnership led by North Tyneside Council with the aim of celebrating all that's good in Wallsend: past, present and future.

Planning and delivering the Festival is a big job and it is only possible because of the work that our partners put in - and we could always do with more hands!

If you agree with us that Wallsend is a great place to live and work with much to be proud of and to celebrate, why not consider joining the Partnership? - we meet regularly throughout the year to plan the Festival and you’d be very welcome to join us. Our Partners come from a wide range of backgrounds and organisations, representing residents, the local schools and churches, The Forum Shopping Centre, the Wallsend Chamber of Trade, Segedunum Roman Fort and Museum and the People's Centre among others.

These are some of the highlights on Festival Saturday:

Craft market and workshops outside the Forum Shopping Centre
Dance, martial arts and other performances within the Forum Shopping Centre
A children's fairground on High Street East
Live Street entertainment and music throughout the town centre
Festival Parade through the town
Display area at Segedunum with steam trains, fairground organs, vintage buses and much much more.

For the Festival to be truly representative of the local community we need as many people and organisations as possible to get involved.

The Festival provides a great showcase for local groups and organisations to raise their profile, showcase their activities and attract new members. So why not join us and take part in the Festival:

Perhaps you have a group who would like to take a stall?

Maybe you could stage a demonstration or a performance?

Bring something to the Display Area

Its YOUR Festival - so get involved and help make this year's Festival the best ever!
